May 18, 2020 Covid-19 Clinic Update

Dear Valued Patients,

We will be gradually opening our clinic starting this week. The health and safety of our patients and staff is still our first priority and we will be adhering to the recommended health and safety protocols while we begin to see patients for “in-office” treatments. Our clinic will be following the BC Centres for Disease Control Environmental Cleaning and Disinfectant procedures. We will be screening all patients before their appointments, health assessments will be done daily amongst our staff and practitioners, our staff will be conducting frequent hand washing/sanitizing and following social distancing protocols. As a precaution and out of consideration of our staff and patients, please DO NOT visit our clinic if you or anyone you have come in contact with has had ANY flu-symptoms or has returned from travelling in the past 14 days. For patients visiting our clinic, we encourage you to wear a mask if you have one available. All our practitioners and staff members will be wearing masks while assisting patients. Please respect and follow the social distance protocols while visiting our clinic by keeping a distance of 2 meters (6 feet) and waiting for your appointment at the designated spots in our waiting area. To minimize risks further, we ask that you come “on-time” for your appointment and not any earlier. If possible, please come to your appointments alone as well to reduce the amount of visitors in our clinic. We are also asking our patients to please refrain from using the washrooms in our building at this time. At this time, we will not be able to accept any Cash payments. We can accept Debit Card, MasterCard and Visa. If you have questions/concerns, please contact: Adam Bernard: adam@dynamicedgephysio.com Dr. Josh Stehmeier drstehmeier@gmail.com Dr. Brent Barlow info@drbrentbarlownd.com or call 250-448-5610 Or contact the clinic at 250-448-9097 (main line) Thank you.

Dr. Barlow was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario by his parents Tom and Marg and with his brother Darren. He has an athletic background and played on several sports teams in his childhood and high school years. He played football, hockey, baseball, badminton, touch football and golf during high school and was voted Athlete of the Year in 1997 at Barton Secondary School. He also played 3 seasons of varsity football for the University of Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.

Dr. Barlow graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in August of 2001 with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in geography. After graduating from Wilfrid Laurier, Dr. Barlow moved to Invermere, BC to work in the ski industry at Panorama Mountain Village. This is where he met his future wife.

Dr. Barlow became passionate about health, wellness, longevity, and athletic performance while playing varsity football. He wanted to pursue athletic performance without sacrificing long-term health. He realized that this was the area he would like to make his career.

After taking several nutrition courses he eventually found out about naturopathic medicine. He visited several naturopathic doctors to learn more about the profession and was amazed by the services they provided and the results they were getting. He immediately contacted the accredited schools in North America, went back to school to acquire the prerequisite courses, and applied for admissions. Dr. Barlow was accepted by the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, his first choice, in the spring of 2005.
